To put it simply, kids find the total of all the digits and repeat the process until they arrive at 3, 6, or 9. For example, to know if the number 924 is divisible by 3 or not, first add its digits. We have 9 + 2 + 4 = 15. Adding 1 + 5 gets us 6, which means 924 is divisible by 3.
