Featuring questions in four different formats, this assemblage of free printable largest and smallest numbers worksheets offers oodles of practice in forming the smallest and largest possible numbers using a given array of digits. Arrange the numbers in increasing or decreasing order as specified in the question to create the biggest or smallest 4-digit number. To form the largest number, place the smallest digit in the ones place and the greatest digit at the highest place value. To build the smallest number, do the exact opposite. If there are two equal digits, place them consecutively. If one of the digits is 0 while creating the smallest possible number, start with the smallest digit other than the zero and write the zero in the second place. That's all there's to know.
